Mobiliar Überschussfonds

The ÜBF campaign is Mobiliar’s biggest communication challenge every year. In terms of audience, budget and reach it is their flagship campaign. The product and their tonality is what differentiates them from other insurance companies. This year to make it exciting once more we decided to go on air with different stories to keep our audience entertained.

For the first film we brought the world famous idiom – like an elephant in a porcelain factory – to life and gave it a Mobiliar twist. The second film shows a Swiss family driving to their holidays and the third film shows the misadventures of a couple driving around in an RV.

The 2 first movies were tailored for offline and online to reach a larger audience with varied content. And the last one was an interactive online movie, spread over the web with cutdowns.

The elefant in a porcelain factory.
What would really happen if an elephant ended up in a porcelain shop?

The ambient game

The campaign idea included a digital game with the elephant in the porcelain store. The player embodies/controls “Eli” standing on a balance board steering the animal by balancing its weight left or right in front of a giant screen. The goal being – of course – breaking as little porcelain as possible.

The game would have been staged in the Zurich central station to reach a maximum amount of people. Unfortunately due to the social distancing measures taken during the covid-19 crisis the game had to be cancelled at the last minute.

The van family
Do you know that feeling of accidentally being the protagonist of a misadventure?

The camper experiment
This part of the campaign only ran online.
What happens when 2 rookies in a RV have a ride on a bumpy road ?
